Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 12–2001","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Except as otherwise provided by law or regulation, from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. on any day, an individual may not consume alcoholic beverages:\n(i) in a premises licensed under this title; or\n(ii) in a place, whether it has any other license, if any form of live or recorded entertainment is offered at the place.\n(2) An owner, an operator, or a manager of a premises or place described in paragraph (1) of this subsection may not knowingly allow consumption of alcoholic beverages prohibited under paragraph (1) of this subsection.\n(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or a fine not exceeding $5,000 or both.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=12-2001","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"d0b6f59bda60f7328562abacbbeb19d74e5faf0a8441b1009bc843419af6e1a1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-12-1904","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-12-2003"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
