Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 13–2003","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) A holder of a Class A beer and wine license may sell beer and wine on Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to midnight.\n(2) From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., the license holder may sell beer and wine on the Sunday immediately before:\n(i) Christmas Day;\n(ii) New Year’s Day;\n(iii) Rosh Hashanah; and\n(iv) Yom Kippur.\n(3) The license holder may sell beer and wine on the two Sundays immediately before Passover if:\n(i) the license holder does not sell beer and wine on the two Saturdays immediately before Passover;\n(ii) the sales are conducted on those Sundays from 6 a.m. to midnight; and\n(iii) the sales are limited to beer and wine that are “kosher for Passover”.\n(b) (1) A holder of a Class B beer and wine license may sell beer and wine on each day of the week from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) The license holder may sell beer and wine at a bar or counter on Sunday.\n(3) From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., the holder of a Class B on–sale and off–sale beer and wine license may sell beer and wine for off–premises consumption on the Sunday immediately before:\n(i) Christmas Day;\n(ii) New Year’s Day;\n(iii) Rosh Hashanah; and\n(iv) Yom Kippur.\n(c) (1) A holder of a Class C beer and wine license may sell beer and wine on each day of the week from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) The license holder may sell beer and wine at a bar or counter on Sunday.\n(d) (1) A holder of a Class D beer and wine license may sell beer and wine on Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., a holder of a Class D on–sale and off–sale beer and wine license may sell beer and wine for off–premises consumption on the Sunday immediately before:\n(i) Christmas Day;\n(ii) New Year’s Day;\n(iii) Rosh Hashanah; and\n(iv) Yom Kippur.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=13-2003","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"8a27f83fbdb85dcce3906a0b11075c6ca4d46f4024aae4f553e56502e514e7e2","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-13-2001","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-13-2004"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
