Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 13–203","heading":"","body":"(a) Every 2 years, the County Executive shall appoint two substitute members to the Board.\n(b) (1) The chair of the Board shall designate a substitute member to serve:\n(i) when a regular member is absent or incapacitated for any reason; or\n(ii) if a vacancy is created.\n(2) A substitute member shall serve until the regular member’s incapacity or absence ends or the vacancy is filled.\n(c) While serving on the Board, a substitute member has all the powers and duties of a regular member.\n(d) (1) Subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, a substitute member shall receive a per diem salary set by the Board for each day served.\n(2) The salary of a substitute member may not exceed the daily salary of a regular member.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=13-203","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"44d089de9f019c05e1df622d0cda93db1509f32496a425195bed4b7a99d4d63e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-13-202","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-13-204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
