Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 14–204","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The chair of the Board shall receive $5,000 annually for expenses incurred while performing the duties of the office.\n(2) Each regular member of the Board shall receive $4,350 annually for expenses incurred while performing the duties of the office.\n(3) The substitute member of the Board shall receive $200 for each meeting of the Board attended as an acting regular member for expenses incurred while performing the duties of the office.\n(b) Subject to § 14–205 of this subtitle, the Board:\n(1) may employ:\n(i) a secretary;\n(ii) inspectors; and\n(iii) clerical and other assistants as are necessary; and\n(2) shall set the compensation of the employees.\n(c) The Board may appoint a clerk and an attorney at salaries that the County Commissioners set.\n(d) The Board of County Commissioners shall pay the salaries and expenses of the Board of License Commissioners.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=14-204","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"30f1013a5489abc058837aa684c00fe996f59df616f0f1ed9b532697dc61d5af","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-14-203","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-14-204.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
