Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 15–1001","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a barbershop and beauty salon beer and wine license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license to a holder of:\n(1) a barbershop permit issued under § 4–501 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article; or\n(2) a beauty salon permit issued under § 5–501 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article.\n(c) The license authorizes the license holder to provide not more than 12 ounces of beer or 5 ounces of wine by the glass for on–premises consumption by a barbershop or beauty salon customer when the customer is being provided:\n(1) a barbering service under Title 4 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article; or\n(2) a cosmetology service under Title 5 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article.\n(d) A license holder may provide beer and wine during normal business hours.\n(e) A license holder may not transfer the license to another location.\n(f) An establishment for which the license is issued is subject to the alcohol awareness training requirements under § 4–505 of this article and § 15–1902 of this title.\n(g) The annual license fee is $100.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=15-1001","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"3775b0731e7afe743f4d6b01466612a613ae845d2f17127927a2fd013a07495a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-15-904","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-15-1002"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
