Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 15–1004","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a special event venue beer, wine, and liquor license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license:\n(1) to the owner of a special event venue; and\n(2) (i) to the same applicant for all events for which the license is issued; and\n(ii) for use at only one premises.\n(c) The license authorizes the license holder to sell beer, wine, and liquor for on–premises consumption.\n(d) The license may not be transferred to another location.\n(e) A license holder may sell beer, wine, and liquor during the hours set in county law for special event venues.\n(f) A license holder may purchase beer, wine, and liquor only from a licensed wholesaler.\n(g) A license holder is subject to the alcohol awareness training requirements under § 4–505 of this article and § 15–1902 of this title.\n(h) The fee for a special event venue license is:\n(1) $250 for not more than 10 events per year;\n(2) $500 for not more than 20 events per year;\n(3) $750 for not more than 30 events per year; and\n(4) $1,000 for not more than 40 events per year.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=15-1004","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"c93cd11a8c8bf924b5bb6f0bab74ebe1ec4dca4128cac9df9d96504a12041134","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-15-1003","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-15-1101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
