Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 16–1308","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a liquor tasting license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license to a holder of a Class A beer, wine, and liquor license.\n(c) The license authorizes the holder to allow the consumption of liquor for tasting if:\n(1) the license holder is authorized to sell the liquor; and\n(2) the consumer is not charged for the liquor.\n(d) An individual may consume liquor at a liquor tasting in a quantity of not more than:\n(1) one–half ounce from each offering of liquor; and\n(2) five offerings in 1 day.\n(e) A license is valid for not more than 52 days a year and may be used on consecutive or nonconsecutive days.\n(f) The annual license fee is $100.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=16-1308","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"6ea2239a43f343e42a414d1c71abecd6d36c469025fae5c18cd0e1d5bdf71c46","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-16-1307","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-16-1308.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
