Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 17–1201","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a local caterer’s license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license to the holder of:\n(1) a Class B restaurant or hotel beer, wine, and liquor license; or\n(2) a Class B restaurant or hotel beer and wine license.\n(c) The license authorizes a holder to:\n(1) (i) provide beer, wine, and liquor at an event that is held off the premises for which the holder’s Class B restaurant or hotel beer, wine, and liquor license is issued; or\n(ii) provide beer and wine at an event that is held off the premises for which the holder’s Class B restaurant or hotel beer and wine license is issued; and\n(2) exercise the privileges of the license only during the hours and on the days authorized for the holder’s Class B license.\n(d) The license holder shall provide food for consumption at the catered event.\n(e) The annual license fee is $100.\n(f) This section does not require a holder of a Class B restaurant or hotel beer, wine, and liquor license or a Class B restaurant or hotel beer and wine license to obtain a local caterer’s license for catering on the premises for which the Class B license is issued.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=17-1201","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"013e9705696b2357146a4852585a1f62b914e765dc2d58ba1c41bfb4578d5a87","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-17-1103","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-17-1301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
