Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 17–2006","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) A holder of a Class A beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) on Sunday, subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) To sell beer, wine, and liquor on Sunday under paragraph (1)(ii) of this subsection, the license holder shall pay an additional fee of $500.\n(b) (1) A holder of a Class B beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) except as provided in paragraph (4) of this subsection and subject to paragraphs (2) and (3) of this subsection, on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) To sell beer, wine, and liquor on Sunday under paragraph (1)(ii) of this subsection, the license holder shall pay an additional fee of $500.\n(3) Sales of beer, wine, and liquor for on–premises consumption may be conducted on Sunday under paragraph (1)(ii) of this subsection only by a licensed restaurant.\n(4) The license holder may not sell beer, wine, or liquor at a bar or counter on Sunday.\n(c) A holder of a Class BLX beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor:\n(1) on Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(2) on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day, for on–premises consumption.\n(d) (1) A holder of a Class C beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor for on–premises consumption:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) The license holder may not sell beer, wine, or liquor at a bar or counter on Sunday.\n(e) (1) A holder of a Class D beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) To sell beer, wine, and liquor on Sunday under paragraph (1)(ii) of this subsection, the license holder shall pay an additional fee of $500.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=17-2006","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"adc73b52ea97e6ca5c9925f58712e381ff14d948fdd8cb65df679e105b9a6015","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-17-2005","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-17-2007"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
