Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 17–202","heading":"","body":"(a) The County Commissioners shall appoint three members to the Board.\n(b) Each member of the Board shall be of high moral character and possess a sound reputation for integrity.\n(c) (1) The term of a member is 3 years.\n(2) The terms of the members are staggered as required by the terms provided for members of the Board on July 1, 2016.\n(3) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.\n(4) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.\n(d) The County Commissioners may remove a member for misconduct in office, incompetence, or willful neglect of duty.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=17-202","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"4c576684d92512a680a3d133befb9af21489335ee0fcf9eb242d0e63b380160a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-17-201","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-17-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
