Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 19–203","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) (i) The chair of the Board shall receive an annual salary of $3,000.\n(ii) Each other member of the Board shall receive an annual salary of $2,500.\n(2) Expenses of the Board:\n(i) are subject to county personnel policies and rules; and\n(ii) shall be provided for in the county budget.\n(b) (1) The Board may:\n(i) employ and set the compensation of clerical and other assistants as are necessary; and\n(ii) with the approval of the County Council:\n1. employ an inspector and a recording secretary who shall be employees of the county as provided in the county budget; and\n2. appoint legal counsel.\n(2) Restrictions applicable to members of the Board under § 19–202(c) of this subtitle shall apply to legal counsel and staff assigned to the Board.\n(3) County personnel policies and rules shall apply to:\n(i) staff assigned to the Board; and\n(ii) staff expenses.\n(4) Staff expenses shall be provided for in the county budget.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=19-203","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"0407f175a7ce5bd50e354e45ad33b877af2b014371594daadd1dc0716a2e8414","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-19-202","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-19-204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
