Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 19–2501","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to an establishment for which the Board has:\n(1) issued a license; or\n(2) approved an application for a waiver of this section.\n(b) A person who operates an establishment for profit, including a place of adult entertainment that allows at its location a form of sexual display or attire listed under § 4–605 of this article, may not:\n(1) knowingly allow an individual to bring alcoholic beverages for consumption into the establishment; or\n(2) sell, serve, keep, or allow to be consumed on the premises of the establishment or at a location under the control of the establishment:\n(i) alcoholic beverages;\n(ii) setups, including drinking containers and ice; and\n(iii) other component parts of mixed alcoholic drinks.\n(c) The Board shall adopt regulations to carry out the duties of this section.\n(d) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or a fine not exceeding $10,000 or both.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=19-2501","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"d21331d017367779f03829f396edb6d846b6ab65001df8a0f51bc6dfea71ca95","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-19-2401","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-19-2502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
