Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 2–502","heading":"","body":"(a) The Executive Director may issue a State caterer’s license to a person that:\n(1) is engaged in the business of catering;\n(2) meets all State and local requirements for and holds all required licenses relating to the conduct of the catering business;\n(3) holds any catering license that may be required under this article in the jurisdiction in which the person’s principal place of business is located;\n(4) (i) holds a retail license that may be annually renewed other than a Class C license; or\n(ii) does not hold a license but has a permanent office and storage facility for alcoholic beverages in the State; and\n(5) meets all other requirements of this subtitle.\n(b) A licensed retail dealer that operates only in the jurisdiction under authority of the local licensing board need not acquire a State caterer’s license.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=2-502","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"0020e17456067d6465e5144a295451d8e90013b1f3c577c78f89d62c7c79620e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-2-501","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-2-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
