Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 20–1317","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a basket of cheer permit.\n(b) The Board shall grant the permit at no cost to a holder of a Class C per diem beer and wine license or a Class C per diem beer, wine, and liquor license.\n(c) The permit authorizes the permit holder to provide as a prize at a benefit performance a basket of cheer of alcoholic beverages consisting of:\n(1) for a holder of a Class C per diem beer and wine license, not more than:\n(i) 288 ounces of beer; and\n(ii) 2.25 liters of wine; and\n(2) for a holder of a Class C per diem beer, wine, and liquor license, not more than:\n(i) 288 ounces of beer;\n(ii) 2.25 liters of wine; and\n(iii) 2.25 liters of liquor.\n(d) The alcoholic beverages contained in a basket of cheer shall be for off–premises consumption.\n(e) A holder of the permit:\n(1) shall obtain the alcoholic beverages contained in a basket of cheer from a holder of a retail license; and\n(2) may raffle off not more than 10 baskets of cheer at each benefit performance.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=20-1317","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"e70c4bdbe25d46cf965b75eeb9068fc6b7dd176c3b81d2a7a7e05535b0953c89","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-20-1313","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-20-1401"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
