Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 20–2002","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) A holder of a Class A beer license may sell beer on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) (i) The Board may grant a special Sunday opening permit to the license holder.\n(ii) The permit authorizes the holder to sell beer for off–premises consumption on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(iii) The annual permit fee is $100 in addition to the annual fee for the license.\n(iv) The permit is not considered a separate class of license and, if it is granted, the privilege shall be incorporated into the license.\n(b) A holder of a Class B beer license may sell beer on Monday through Sunday, for on– and off–premises consumption, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(c) A holder of a Class C beer (on–sale) license may sell beer:\n(1) on Monday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(2) for a specific event that the Board has approved, the hours for the event that are set by the Board.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=20-2002","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"98f29fb1ab13e19ce6e75395fd5074e2a5349974f52c8597bfda2762d178dc96","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-20-2001","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-20-2003"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
