Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 20–2005","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) A holder of a Class A beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) (i) The Board may grant a special Sunday opening permit to the license holder.\n(ii) The permit authorizes the holder to sell beer, wine, and liquor for off–premises consumption on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(iii) The annual permit fee is $650 in addition to the annual fee for the license.\n(iv) The permit is not considered a separate class of license and, if it is granted, the privilege shall be incorporated into the license.\n(b) A holder of a Class B beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor:\n(1) on Monday through Saturday, for on– and off–premises consumption, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(2) on Sunday:\n(i) for on–premises consumption:\n1. from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; or\n2. for a specific event that the Board has approved, the hours for the event that are set by the Board; and\n(ii) for off–premises consumption, from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(c) A holder of a Class B beer, wine, and liquor license in the Ballenger (23rd) election district may sell beer, wine, and liquor on Monday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(d) A holder of a Class C beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor for on– and off–premises consumption on Monday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=20-2005","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"8636f722c0c47124ebacb155e4ee56cb9996ce66eb0f184728500ae63b4d9be9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-20-2004","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-20-2101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
