Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 20–803","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a Class B beer and wine license.\n(b) The license authorizes the license holder to sell beer and wine at a hotel or restaurant, at retail, at the place described in the license, for on– and off–premises consumption.\n(c) (1) This subsection does not apply to:\n(i) a license holder licensed on or before December 31, 1993;\n(ii) a person who had a permit for a building under construction on December 31, 1993; or\n(iii) a recreational establishment, such as a bowling alley or pool hall.\n(2) The area of the licensed premises normally used as a restaurant for the preparation and consumption of food and beverages may not occupy less than 80% of the square footage of the premises.\n(d) The annual license fee is $160.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=20-803","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"331f87ce7441bab3e5e74fe43040c5b4ddb08c4b95e5e0af7bc3c3b9df95cb23","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-20-802","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-20-804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
