Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 22–1904","heading":"","body":"(a) A holder of a license with an on–sale privilege shall:\n(1) keep complete and accurate books of account of daily receipts and expenditures in the form that the Board requires; and\n(2) procure vouchers or purchase slips for all alcoholic beverages, food, and other items bought for sale.\n(b) An on–sale license holder shall:\n(1) keep the records required under subsection (a) of this section at the location designated in the license or another location in the county; and\n(2) on at least 5 days’ notice, make the records available for inspection by the Board or a designee of the Board.\n(c) (1) If a report required by this section or an investigation by the Board, a Board officer, or any other person indicates that a holder of a license with an on–sale privilege is violating this title, the Board shall summon the license holder and conduct a hearing.\n(2) If the charges at the hearing are sustained, the Board:\n(i) shall impose a fine of not less than $250 and not more than $2,000; and\n(ii) may suspend or revoke the license holder’s license immediately.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=22-1904","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"5a4a9e2b8507b9b42baeb1f479f007106aa9d2fafd5a61cebb566aef5c3f1748","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-22-1903","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-22-2001"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
