Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 23–1304","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a beer festival license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license to a holder of a retail license, a Class 5 brewery license, a Class 7 micro–brewery license, or a Class 8 farm brewery license.\n(c) The license authorizes the holder to display and sell beer.\n(d) A license holder shall display and sell beer:\n(1) at retail for on– and off–premises consumption; and\n(2) during the hours and days designated for the beer festival.\n(e) The Board shall:\n(1) choose 1 weekend each year for the festival;\n(2) choose a location that is not already licensed; and\n(3) ensure that the primary focus of the festival is the promotion of Maryland beer.\n(f) The license holder may hold another license of a different class or nature.\n(g) The license fee is $50 for a 1–day or 2–day festival.\n(h) The Board shall adopt regulations to carry out this section.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=23-1304","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"caf7cd7851d4dd54da23d6e58766c1901b39e9e4b6cb9217b377081163fbea9c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-1303","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-1305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
