Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 23–1306","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a wine sampling (WS) license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license to a nonprofit organization.\n(c) (1) The license authorizes the on–premises consumption of wine for sampling:\n(i) on premises for which a Class B license has been issued with authorization of the holder of the license for the premises; or\n(ii) at a location that is not already licensed.\n(2) The license holder may carry wine onto the premises for wine sampling with the authorization of the owner or holder of the Class B license.\n(d) The nonprofit organization shall apply for the license at least 15 days before the license is issued.\n(e) The Board may issue not more than 12 licenses in a license year to a single nonprofit organization.\n(f) The license holder may serve a quantity of not more than 2 ounces from each offering to an individual.\n(g) The license fee is $15 per day.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=23-1306","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"bb93ba9c11473885c7d8af3859e3abc253f32bda923658bce0779448b7ac3e8d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-1305","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-1307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
