Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 23–1407","heading":"","body":"(a) At least one of the applicants for a license shall be a resident of the State.\n(b) In the determination of the Board, each applicant shall:\n(1) be of good character; and\n(2) include the following information with the application:\n(i) a statement that the applicant is at least 18 years old; and\n(ii) a checklist and police consent form.\n(c) The Board may waive the residency requirement for an applicant if the applicant:\n(1) is the purchaser of a business already in operation; or\n(2) has owned the premises for which a license is sought for at least 2 years immediately preceding the filing of the application.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=23-1407","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"dfe97351e0646d0b9cd67d9df118666c58d962580894b962f3265d9a551a1d99","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-1405","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-1408"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
