Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 23–2004","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided by the Board:\n(1) a holder of a 6–day Class A beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(2) a holder of a 7–day Class A beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor on Monday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(b) (1) Except as otherwise provided by the Board and subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, a holder of a Class B beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor on Monday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) The license holder may not sell beer, wine, or liquor at a bar or counter on Sunday.\n(c) (1) Except as otherwise provided by the Board and subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, a holder of a Class BLX (luxury restaurant) (on–sale) beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor on Monday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) The license holder may not sell beer, wine, or liquor at a bar or counter on Sunday.\n(d) (1) Except as otherwise provided by the Board and subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, a holder of a Class C beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor on Monday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(2) The license holder may not sell beer, wine, or liquor at a bar or counter on Sunday.\n(e) Except as otherwise provided by the Board:\n(1) a holder of a 6–day Class D beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(2) a holder of a 7–day Class D beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor Monday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=23-2004","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"3f988ee521aa596e5e1e6e7923c8d88687faef463da385f53544bb077213b7ce","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-2003","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-2005"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
