Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 23–2501","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle, “place of adult entertainment” means an establishment that:\n(1) is not licensed by the Board but to which a customer brings alcoholic beverages that the customer has purchased elsewhere; and\n(2) allows at its location a form of sexual display or attire prohibited under § 4–605 of this article.\n(b) An individual who serves food, alcoholic beverages, or setups, including drinking containers and ice, in a place of adult entertainment or who supervises or manages a place of adult entertainment shall:\n(1) receive alcohol awareness training as provided in § 4–508 of this article; and\n(2) refuse to facilitate the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages by a customer who appears to be inebriated.\n(c) The hours and days during which a place of public entertainment may be open are Monday through Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. the following day.\n(d) (1) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000 for each violation.\n(2) Each day of operation in violation of this section is a separate violation.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=23-2501","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"e894a4985c9e3d00f402f8078d4a055c447bd2da82c18c403c67e23a0f8c689a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-2403","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-23-2502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
