Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 25–1002","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a beauty salon and barbershop beer, wine, and liquor license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license to a holder of:\n(1) a beauty salon permit issued under § 5–501 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article; or\n(2) a barbershop permit issued under § 4–501 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article.\n(c) The license authorizes the license holder to provide not more than 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine, or 1.7 ounces of liquor for on–premises consumption by a beauty salon or barbershop customer:\n(1) when the customer is provided a cosmetology service under Title 5 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article or a barbering service under Title 4 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article; or\n(2) while the customer is attending a fund–raising event at the beauty salon or barbershop for which the County Department of Permitting Services has issued a permit.\n(d) The license may not be transferred to another location.\n(e) The license holder may provide beer, wine, and liquor during normal business hours but not later than 9 p.m.\n(f) An establishment for which the license is issued is subject to the alcohol awareness training requirements under § 4–505 of this article.\n(g) The annual license fee is $100.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=25-1002","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"7b79a6d50f7b6f969a86a1d9e5a92f73ac4304b2fc2fd08d73b3dd23d1984dc8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-25-1001","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-25-1003"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
