Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 25–1008","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a culinary school beer and wine license.\n(b) The Board, by majority vote, may issue the license for use on the premises of a private culinary educational institution that:\n(1) is accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting association;\n(2) is approved by the State Higher Education Commission; and\n(3) holds a private educational institution license issued by the county.\n(c) (1) The license authorizes the license holder to:\n(i) allow the consumption of wine by individuals who are at least 21 years old and registered in a wine tasting course offered by the license holder; and\n(ii) allow the consumption of beer and wine by individuals who are at least 21 years old and registered in a culinary or confectionary course offered by the license holder.\n(2) An individual may consume beer or wine under the license on the licensed premises.\n(d) A license holder may conduct the activities specified in subsection (b) of this section:\n(1) from Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. the following day;\n(2) on Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(3) on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. the following day.\n(e) The license holder shall provide food during the hours that alcoholic beverages are served.\n(f) A license holder may not simultaneously hold a different type of license issued under this article.\n(g) The annual license fee is $400.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=25-1008","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"09e7d300f152dfc3d5c618d31a3a6ea339eac4a338b1cd316bc6f77ee671cd48","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-25-1007","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-25-1009"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
