Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 25–1601","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to:\n(1) a country club; or\n(2) a restaurant in the country inn zone of the county where alcoholic beverages are sold only for on–premises consumption.\n(b) The Board may not issue a license for an establishment in:\n(1) Barnesville, except as provided in § 25–1602 of this subtitle;\n(2) Damascus (12th election district), except as provided in § 25–1603 of this subtitle;\n(3) Kensington, except as provided in § 25–1604 of this subtitle;\n(4) Laytonsville, except as provided in § 25–1605 of this subtitle;\n(5) Takoma Park, except as provided in § 25–1607 of this subtitle; or\n(6) Washington Grove.\n(c) This section does not prohibit the issuance of a license with an on–sale privilege for the sale of:\n(1) beer during daylight hours for a restaurant, snack bar, or similar facility on land owned by the Montgomery County Revenue Authority and operated in connection with a public golf course; or\n(2) beer and wine for a restaurant on land owned by the Montgomery County Revenue Authority and operated in connection with an airport.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=25-1601","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"4d83bfcb2a1667684f2084b1fb82f0f96800d79f5b90a230a1ca74917d32db0e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-25-1506","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-25-1602"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
