Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 25–204","heading":"","body":"(a) Three members of the Board are a quorum for transacting business.\n(b) (1) The chair of the Board shall receive $10,000 annually.\n(2) Each other member of the Board shall receive $9,000 annually.\n(c) (1) The Board may:\n(i) employ:\n1. a secretary;\n2. inspectors; and\n3. clerical and other assistants as are necessary; and\n(ii) set the compensation of the employees.\n(2) The office of the County Attorney and other county departments shall be made available to the Board.\n(3) A county employee made available to the Board under paragraph (2) of this subsection may not solicit or receive, directly or indirectly, a commission, remuneration, or gift from:\n(i) a person engaged in the manufacture or sale of alcoholic beverages or an agent or employee of the person; or\n(ii) a license holder.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=25-204","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"22ef6f4fb1c36e09c55950edd7062157ce0de07d8d71bfc099e9925cd38a7802","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-25-203","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-25-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
