Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 26–1405","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to:\n(1) a racetrack license;\n(2) a Class BLX license;\n(3) an arena license;\n(4) a Class BCE (catering) license;\n(5) a Class B–CC (convention center) license;\n(6) a Class B/ECF (educational conference facility) license;\n(7) the issuance, renewal, or transfer of Class B–DD (development district) licenses; or\n(8) a business whose stock or interest is authorized for sale by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.\n(b) (1) An application for a license for a proprietorship shall state the name and address of the proprietorship and the name and address of the applicant.\n(2) An application for a license for a partnership shall:\n(i) be made by and the license issued to each partner as an individual; and\n(ii) state the name and address of the partnership and the names and addresses of each applicant.\n(c) (1) This subsection does not apply to a Class B–Stadium (baseball stadium) beer, wine, and liquor license, a 7–day Class B–ECR on–sale beer, wine, and liquor license, or a Class B–WPL (waterfront pavilion) beer, wine, and liquor license.\n(2) To be eligible to receive a license, a partner shall:\n(i) be a resident of the State at the time the application is filed and continue to be a resident as long as the license is in effect; and\n(ii) be a registered voter of the State.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=26-1405","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"acc8cf4834a1a5a27f45aa200833b7013212a006eb1e7406b5acc9a859ce87f5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1404","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1406"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
