Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 26–1503","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to subsection (b) of this section, the Board may not issue a license to an applicant unless the Board is provided verification from the Comptroller and the county that the applicant has:\n(1) paid all undisputed taxes payable to the Comptroller and the county; or\n(2) provided for payment of the taxes described in item (1) of this subsection in a manner satisfactory to the governmental unit responsible for collection.\n(b) If an application for the issuance of a license is made on behalf of a corporation, a club, or any other entity, the verification requirements specified in subsection (a) of this section apply to undisputed taxes payable by each owner or principal of the entity.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=26-1503","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"800a1ce98628898e82ce0408eda2a3b0fe16007a7ced6c94558c6ae2b0bd3fc4","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1502","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1504"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
