Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 26–1513","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board shall approve an application and issue the license for which application is made if the Board determines that:\n(1) issuing the license is necessary for the accommodation of the public;\n(2) the applicant is a fit person to receive the license for which application is made;\n(3) the applicant has not made a material false statement in the application;\n(4) the applicant has not acted fraudulently in connection with the application or the operation of the underlying business;\n(5) if the license is issued, the operation of the business will not unduly disturb the peace of the residents of the neighborhood in which the business is to be located; and\n(6) there are no other reasons, in the discretion of the Board, why the license should not be issued.\n(b) The Board shall maintain a record of licenses issued.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=26-1513","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"1723e20cd5f173240962cb80869f7992df392c2c93d0f0cc90ba9ec044794946","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1512","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1514"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
