Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 26–1806","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as provided in subsection (c) of this section, the Board may approve or deny a license renewal if the license holder or a stockholder of the corporation that uses the license has been convicted of a felony.\n(b) The Board:\n(1) shall hold a public hearing before approving or denying the license renewal; and\n(2) may inquire into all relevant facts and circumstances concerning the felony offense at the hearing.\n(c) In the case of a conviction for a felony that is related to operations under the license, the Board may not approve a license renewal for a license holder or stockholder of a corporation that uses the license until at least 10 years have elapsed after the date of the felony conviction.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=26-1806","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"be9d741bc7cafe09e5a3f552112625bde7215eb6925fddee3006ed1eb23e6098","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1805","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1807"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
