Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 26–1902.1","heading":"","body":"(a) The license holder or an individual designated by the license holder who is employed in a supervisory capacity shall:\n(1) be certified by an approved alcohol awareness program; and\n(2) be present on the licensed premises at all times when alcoholic beverages may be sold.\n(b) A license holder who violates this section is subject to:\n(1) for a first offense, a $250 fine;\n(2) for a second offense, a $500 fine; and\n(3) for each subsequent offense, a fine not exceeding $1,000 or a suspension or revocation of the license, or both.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=26-1902.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"08b20d41da63511d5cdd52c8bfbf7af83a95916b7fc47e250d5c398c4e970f85","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1902","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-1903"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
