Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 26–2006","heading":"","body":"(a) A holder of a Class A beer, wine, and liquor license may not sell beer, wine, or liquor on Sunday unless:\n(1) the Sunday is December 24 or December 31; or\n(2) the holder of a Class A beer, wine, and liquor license holds a Sunday off–sale permit under § 26–1104 of this title.\n(b) A holder of a Class B restaurant license that allows the sale of alcoholic beverages for off–premises consumption may not sell alcoholic beverages for off–premises consumption Monday through Sunday from midnight to 8 a.m.\n(c) A holder of a license that allows the sale of alcoholic beverages for on–premises consumption may sell the alcoholic beverages that the license allows until 2 a.m. on January 1.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=26-2006","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"aa9307d3af72dc849c1f660ff1e22b8f10bd118b957ac21de5614665b0590a16","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-2005","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-2007"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
