Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 26–2502","heading":"","body":"(a) From 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. on any day, an individual may not consume alcoholic beverages:\n(1) in an establishment open to the public;\n(2) in a place of public entertainment;\n(3) at an establishment occupied regularly by a private club or organization; or\n(4) in a place at which setups or other component parts of mixed alcoholic drinks are sold directly or indirectly.\n(b) An owner, a manager, or an employee of an establishment or a place specified in subsection (a) of this section may not knowingly allow consumption of alcoholic beverages between the hours specified in subsection (a) of this section.\n(c) (1) A person who violates subsection (a)(1) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $50.\n(2) An owner, a manager, or an employee of a premises or place who violates subsection (a)(2) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=26-2502","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"7a4dace785dee966edbb6349a39d7ac07560920089a44783e225bf3e2b4d8112","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-2501","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-26-2601"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
