Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 28–1304","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a beer festival (BF) license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license to a holder of a retail license authorizing the sale of beer, a Class 5 brewery license, a Class 6 pub–brewery license, a Class 7 micro–brewery license, or a Class 8 farm brewery license.\n(c) The license authorizes the holder to display and sell beer that is:\n(1) manufactured and processed in any state; and\n(2) distributed in the State when the license application is filed.\n(d) A license holder shall display and sell beer:\n(1) at retail for on– and off–premises consumption; and\n(2) during the hours and days designated for the festival.\n(e) The Board shall:\n(1) choose 1 weekend each year for the beer festival that does not fall on the dates chosen for the Sotterley Wine Festival;\n(2) choose a location in Historic St. Mary’s City for the festival; and\n(3) ensure that the primary focuses of the festival are the promotions of both Maryland beer and tourism in Historic St. Mary’s City.\n(f) The license holder may hold another license of a different class or nature.\n(g) The license fee is $15.\n(h) The Board shall adopt regulations to carry out this section.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=28-1304","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"4e4314d7ee77f140366eeaf35ec46f88dccb6fc183302ae1f2b554c08e0afe50","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-28-1301","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-28-1305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
