Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 28–1307","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a BWT beer and wine tasting permit.\n(b) The Board may issue the permit only to a holder of a Class A license.\n(c) The permit authorizes the holder to allow the on–premises consumption of beer and wine for tasting purposes only.\n(d) The holder of a Class A license may apply for and the Board may issue the permit that is effective for a maximum of:\n(1) any 26 days in a licensing period;\n(2) any 52 days in a licensing period; or\n(3) 365 days in a licensing period.\n(e) A permit holder shall notify the Board of the holder’s intent to have a tasting at least 7 days before the event if the permit is effective for any:\n(1) 26 days in a licensing period; or\n(2) 52 days in a licensing period.\n(f) An individual may consume beer or wine covered by the license in a quantity not exceeding:\n(1) 1 ounce from each offering and 4 ounces from all offerings of wine in a day; and\n(2) 2 ounces from each offering and 8 ounces from all offerings of beer in a day.\n(g) The permit authorizes the consumption of beer or wine only on the licensed premises of the holder.\n(h) The permit fees are:\n(1) for a permit that is effective for any 26 days in a licensing period, $150;\n(2) for a permit that is effective for any 52 days in a licensing period, $200; and\n(3) for a permit that is effective for 365 days in a licensing period, $250.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=28-1307","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"cea8e1e46f0d07c01181c0dd060d5d912b2f9fde77e5ecdfe4223a5542438f7e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-28-1306","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-28-1308"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
