Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 28–2501","heading":"","body":"(a) An establishment not licensed by the Board, at a location under the control or possession of the establishment, may not:\n(1) sell or serve alcoholic beverages to a member or guest;\n(2) keep alcoholic beverages for a member or guest;\n(3) allow a customer to consume or to be served alcoholic beverages from the supplies that the customer has previously purchased or reserved; or\n(4) sell, serve, keep, or allow to be consumed setups or other component parts of mixed alcoholic drinks to a member or guest.\n(b) A person who operates an establishment for profit that is not licensed under this article may not knowingly allow a customer to bring alcoholic beverages for consumption into or on the grounds of the establishment.\n(c) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=28-2501","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"d81465bbb4be9f675825410b7cdff3ad98d62b2c0380d9ced19214ba69011fab","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-28-2402","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-28-2502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
