Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 29–2004","heading":"","body":"(a) A holder of a Class A beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor:\n(1) on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(2) on Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(b) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, a holder of a Class B beer, wine, and liquor (on–sale) license may sell beer, wine, and liquor:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) on Sunday, from 12:30 p.m. to midnight if food is available for purchase on the premises.\n(2) The license holder may not sell beer, wine, or liquor at a bar or counter on Sunday.\n(c) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, a holder of a Class C beer, wine, and liquor (on–sale) license may sell beer, wine, and liquor:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) on Sunday, from 12:30 p.m. to midnight if food is available for purchase on the premises.\n(2) The license holder may not sell beer, wine, or liquor at a bar or counter on Sunday.\n(d) A holder of a Class D beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and liquor:\n(1) on Monday, from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(2) on Tuesday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=29-2004","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"66f77f8e456c4bd6edbac205d4a9a2dfd91670cb1d11f17daa1240d0889bcaf3","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-29-2003","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-29-2005"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
