Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 29–204","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The chair of the Board shall receive a salary of $4,000 annually.\n(2) Each other member of the Board shall receive a salary of $3,500 annually.\n(3) The County Commissioners shall pay the salaries of the members of the Board.\n(4) The County Commissioners may pay for expenses of the Board, including:\n(i) salaries of personnel other than members of the Board; and\n(ii) costs of printing, supplies, and other expenses related to the operation of the Board.\n(b) The Board may:\n(1) employ:\n(i) a secretary;\n(ii) inspectors; and\n(iii) clerical and other assistants as are necessary; and\n(2) except as otherwise provided in this section, set the compensation of the employees.\n(c) The Board:\n(1) shall appoint a clerk to the Board at a salary of $4,000 annually; and\n(2) may designate an attorney for the Board at a salary of $4,500 annually.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=29-204","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"9fdfee0eac0801f9f6cf91a27709214e7d066d1374ba9dd8379385c353349d2f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-29-203","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-29-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
