Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 3–506","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to:\n(1) the delivery of wine from a direct wine shipper to a consumer using a common carrier in accordance with Title 2, Subtitle 1, Part V of this article; or\n(2) the holder of a common carrier permit in the course of delivering directly shipped wine in accordance with Title 2, Subtitle 1, Part V of this article.\n(b) Retail delivery to a purchaser of alcoholic beverages is prohibited unless:\n(1) a retail license holder obtains a letter of authorization from the local licensing board to make deliveries; and\n(2) the delivery is made from the licensed premises by the retail license holder or an employee of the retail license holder.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=3-506","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"b5bbf5655f9e7d05dbe93eb9ccc83691466609437ee3dc33f3bc2d6eb0105161","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-3-505","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-3-507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
