Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 31–2003","heading":"","body":"(a) A holder of a Class A beer and wine license may sell beer and wine:\n(1) on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(2) on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to midnight, if a fee is paid.\n(b) (1) A holder of a Class B beer and wine (on– and off–sale) license may sell beer and wine:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) except as provided in paragraphs (2) and (3) of this subsection, on Sunday, from noon to midnight, if a fee is paid.\n(2) The license holder may sell beer and wine on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to midnight, if:\n(i) the consumer places an order for a meal simultaneously with or before placing an order for an alcoholic beverage; or\n(ii) the consumer is entitled to a meal on the premises as part of a prearranged event.\n(3) When a federal holiday falls on a Monday, the license holder may sell beer and wine on the Sunday immediately before the Monday holiday, from noon to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(c) (1) A holder of a Class B beer and wine (on–sale only) pouring license may sell beer and wine:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) except as provided in paragraphs (2) and (3) of this subsection, on Sunday, from noon to midnight, if a fee is paid.\n(2) The license holder may sell beer and wine on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to midnight, if:\n(i) the consumer places an order for a meal simultaneously with or before placing an order for an alcoholic beverage; or\n(ii) the consumer is entitled to a meal on the premises as part of a prearranged event.\n(3) When a federal holiday falls on a Monday, the license holder may sell beer and wine on the Sunday immediately before the Monday holiday, from noon to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(d) (1) A holder of a Class C beer and wine license may sell beer and wine:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) except as provided in paragraphs (2) and (3) of this subsection, on Sunday from noon to midnight, if a fee is paid.\n(2) The license holder may sell beer and wine on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to midnight, if:\n(i) the consumer places an order for a meal simultaneously with or before placing an order for an alcoholic beverage; or\n(ii) the consumer is entitled to a meal on the premises as part of a prearranged event.\n(3) When a federal holiday falls on a Monday, the license holder may sell beer and wine on the Sunday immediately before the Monday holiday, from noon to 2 a.m. the following day.\n(e) (1) A holder of a Class D beer and wine (on–sale) license may sell beer and wine:\n(i) on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; and\n(ii) except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, on Sunday, from noon to midnight, if a fee is paid.\n(2) When a federal holiday falls on a Monday, the license holder may sell beer and wine on the Sunday immediately before the Monday holiday, from noon to 2 a.m. the following day.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=31-2003","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"34cf7e82f795cf7b703120de8c03f158ae9b29fd0a9934f354bb6cc2aaafb70c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-31-2002","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-31-2004"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
