Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 31–2802","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board may impose a fine not exceeding $2,500 or suspend a license or both on a license holder who violates this article.\n(b) In deciding whether to fine a license holder or suspend the license, the Board shall consider whether:\n(1) the public welfare and morals would be impaired by allowing the license holder to operate during the suspension period; and\n(2) the payment of the fine will achieve the desired disciplinary purposes.\n(c) Fines collected under this section shall be paid to the Board.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=31-2802","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"9eae44b03ed1f8d3ba960f521d61e0ad6ed2e04b37b640473945daefae3c6d02","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-31-2801","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-31-2803"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
