Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 32–305","heading":"","body":"(a) The Liquor Control Board shall meet as often as necessary for the public business.\n(b) (1) The chair of the Liquor Control Board shall receive an annual salary of $6,000.\n(2) The other members of the Liquor Control Board shall receive an annual salary of $5,000.\n(c) (1) The Liquor Control Board shall appoint employees necessary to operate the dispensary system, set employee compensation, and require a bond for the faithful performance of employee duties.\n(2) (i) An employee of the Liquor Control Board may not:\n1. have a direct or indirect financial interest in the manufacture or sale of alcoholic beverages; or\n2. derive profit or remuneration from the sale of alcoholic beverages other than the salary or wages payable for the discharge of the duties of the office.\n(ii) A person who violates this paragraph is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or a fine not exceeding $2,000 or both.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=32-305","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"aeedde5b0abd0ae4f931fb7427cb86008b8dbf7d66d853cb703cb2715ec33698","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-32-304","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-32-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
