Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 32–903","heading":"","body":"(a) There is:\n(1) a 6–day Class C beer, wine, and liquor license; and\n(2) a 7–day Class C beer, wine, and liquor license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license for use by a nonprofit fraternal, social, or veterans’ club that:\n(1) has been incorporated for at least 5 years immediately before the application for the license is made;\n(2) is in a clubhouse or premises that is used principally for club purposes;\n(3) during the year immediately before the filing of the application:\n(i) except as provided in item (ii) of this item, has at least 100 dues–paying members; or\n(ii) if the club is composed only of members who served in the armed forces of the United States, has at least 50 dues–paying members; and\n(4) has facilities for preparing and serving food on the premises to members and guests.\n(c) The license authorizes the license holder to sell beer, wine, and liquor at a club at the place described in the license for on–premises consumption.\n(d) A license holder shall purchase alcoholic beverages for retail sale, except beer and wine, from the Liquor Control Board or from a wholesaler.\n(e) (1) The annual license fees for a 6–day license, depending on the size of the dues–paying membership of the club, are:\n(i) $275, for a membership of 50 to 399;\n(ii) $550, for a membership of 400 to 599; and\n(iii) $825, for a membership of at least 600.\n(2) The annual license fees for a 7–day license, depending on the size of the dues–paying membership of the club, are:\n(i) $400, for a membership of 50 to 399;\n(ii) $675, for a membership of 400 to 599; and\n(iii) $950, for a membership of at least 600.\n(3) A license fee shall be established on the maximum number of dues–paying members during the calendar year immediately before the filing of the application for the license.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=32-903","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"a1dfa2194efecf7e3c27acfb325e80fb152f524a82b47b9361ede7178b5d1bd1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-32-902","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-32-904"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
