Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 33–1201","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a local caterer’s license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license to the holder of:\n(1) a Class B restaurant or hotel (on–sale) beer, wine, and liquor license; and\n(2) a Class D beer, wine, and liquor license.\n(c) The license authorizes a holder to:\n(1) provide beer, wine, and liquor at an event that is held off the premises for which the holder’s Class B restaurant or hotel (on–sale) beer, wine, and liquor license or Class D beer, wine, and liquor license is issued; and\n(2) exercise the privileges of the license only during the hours and on the days authorized for the Class B restaurant or hotel (on–sale) beer, wine, and liquor license or Class D beer, wine, and liquor license.\n(d) The license holder shall provide food for consumption at the catered event.\n(e) The annual license fee is $500.\n(f) This section does not require a holder of a Class B restaurant or hotel (on–sale) beer, wine, and liquor license or a Class D beer, wine, and liquor license to obtain a local caterer’s license for catering on the premises for which the holder’s Class B or Class D license is issued.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=33-1201","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"b3011934df1725e85711216e6600f3ff40d5339309efb333a6e9820ffa316de7","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-33-1104","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-33-1301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
