Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 33–1402","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to:\n(1) a license holder of a license issued before May 1, 1977; and\n(2) an applicant for a Class B beer, wine, and liquor license.\n(b) (1) Except as provided in subsection (a) of this section, a license on behalf of a corporation or limited liability company may be issued only if the following requirements are met.\n(2) At least one applicant shall:\n(i) be a registered voter, taxpayer, and resident of the county; and\n(ii) own at least 10% of the total issued capital stock of the corporation or 10% interest in the limited liability company.\n(3) Each applicant shall submit to the Board a sworn statement that includes:\n(i) 1. the name and address of each stockholder of the corporation; and\n2. the number of voting shares owned by each stockholder; or\n(ii) 1. the name and address of each member of the limited liability company; and\n2. the percentage share of voting interest owned by each member.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=33-1402","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"a715399897a9f40d2f8111130c1f125176b8487face152b8c1b33ee1c53e411c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-33-1401","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-33-1403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
