Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 36–1401","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Borrower” means a business that:\n(1) qualifies as a small business under the U.S. Small Business Administration size standards;\n(2) applies to a lender for business financing; and\n(3) has fewer than 50 employees.\n(c) “Department” means the Department of Commerce.\n(d) “Lender” means:\n(1) a credit union, as defined in § 1–101 of the Financial Institutions Article;\n(2) a financial institution, as defined in § 1–101 of the Financial Institutions Article; or\n(3) a community development financial institution, as defined in 12 U.S.C. § 4702(5).\n(e) “Program” means the Capital Access Program established under this subtitle.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=36-1401","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"fe500df941c35679ea751ca1cab134035274f902211b5141b4783bf42e814e8c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-36-1201","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-36-1402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
