Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 36–409","heading":"","body":"(a) The following businesses shall register with the Administration in order to provide services to a cannabis licensee:\n(1) a transporter;\n(2) a security guard agency;\n(3) a waste disposal company;\n(4) a cannabis nursery; and\n(5) any other type of cannabis business that is authorized by the Administration to provide plant or product–touching services to cannabis licensees.\n(b) The Administration shall adopt regulations that establish:\n(1) the standards and requirements to be met by an entity to obtain a registration under this subtitle; and\n(2) the basis and processes for approval, denial, revocation, and suspension of the cannabis registration.\n(c) A registration to operate a transporter, security guard agency, or waste disposal company issued by the Natalie M. LaPrade Medical Cannabis Commission on or before July 1, 2023, shall be valid under this title and authorize a transporter, security guard agency, or waste disposal company to handle medical and adult–use cannabis and cannabis products.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=36-409","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"3e5cf3efaa362c8c9a3b35a47a16a3d970e6265dd4097f14f8000b85540fc483","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-36-408","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-36-410"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
