Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 4–208","heading":"","body":"(a) Before a local licensing board may approve an application for a license, the local licensing board shall publish notice of the application two times in 2 successive weeks:\n(1) in two newspapers of general circulation in the jurisdiction; or\n(2) if only one newspaper of general circulation exists in the jurisdiction, in that newspaper.\n(b) The notice shall state:\n(1) the name of the applicant;\n(2) the type of license for which the application is made;\n(3) the location described in the application; and\n(4) the date, time, and place set by the local licensing board for a hearing on the application.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=4-208","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"884c82dd27800f279d35af16e1a70fbbf743e7023e6d66378c627adcadcc34ee","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-4-207","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-4-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
