Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 4–507","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to:\n(1) the delivery of wine from a direct wine shipper to a consumer using a common carrier in accordance with Title 2, Subtitle 1, Part V of this article; or\n(2) the holder of a common carrier permit in the course of delivering directly shipped wine in accordance with Title 2, Subtitle 1, Part V of this article.\n(b) Retail delivery to a purchaser of alcoholic beverages is prohibited unless:\n(1) a retail license holder obtains a letter of authorization from the local licensing board to make deliveries; and\n(2) the delivery is made from the licensed premises by:\n(i) the retail license holder;\n(ii) an employee of the retail license holder; or\n(iii) a third–party contractor, an independent contractor, or an agent that:\n1. holds a local delivery service permit issued under § 4–1107 of this title; and\n2. has contracted with the retail license holder to make deliveries of alcoholic beverages.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=4-507","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"5e73c9eb6af5f98f2663e4fa257fc309b48675afbb9d1e09d7e46eb6b9b62864","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-4-506","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-4-508"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
